OUR PRESENTATION KNOW-HOW
Eyeful Know-How (or Intellectual Property, if you want to be fancy about it) is the secret ingredient behind thousands of successful presentations. In turn, those presentations have unlocked huge new sales wins, engaged and influenced marketing audiences and played a vital role in communicating important information to employee teams. That makes us rather proud.
Eyeful Know-How is one of the reasons leading business publisher, Wiley, approached us to publish a book detailing our approach. The Presentation Lab has since been translated into six foreign languages and garnered critical acclaim by introducing the concept of Audience Heatmapping and the Presentation Optimisation process to business presenters across the globe.
But of course, Eyeful Know-How goes beyond the pages of a book. We’re called in to help with Presentation Culture and fix the ‘familiarity breeds contempt’ reliance on software like PowerPoint. We get presenters to rethink the purpose of presenting, turning it from a ‘task’ into an ‘opportunity to drive action’. This switch liberates presenters and allows them to embrace the full scale of the Presentation Landscape while employing a Blended Presenting strategy that puts the audience and outcomes at the core of every presentation.

Prompting action from presentations is a big thing for us. We strongly believe that all presentations – sales, marketing, internal comms, conference, technical – need to connect hearts and minds and drive action from your audience. Failure to do so is not only a wasted opportunity; it also calls into question the reason for presenting in the first place.

PRESENTATION DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
This is our first opportunity to challenge you! We learn about the purpose of the presentation and gain a better understanding of what you’re trying to achieve, who your audience is and what motivates them.
We have a habit of thinking outside the box, so be prepared for some early thought-provoking ideas early in the process as we test the waters.
PRESENTATION OPTIMISATION WORKSHOP
This is where we roll up our sleeves and delve deeper. We’ll facilitate a session with key stakeholders to check and challenge messaging, identify any story blockers, open up discussion of delivery formats and kick start the process of presentation storytelling.
This could be done remotely or at your place or ours – whatever works best for you.
Once we’ve gathered all the raw ingredients for your presentation story (and, equally importantly, got rid of the stuff that doesn’t add value), we’ll craft a high-level storyflow document using one of our proven story structures.
Think of the presentation storyflow document as the chapter headings of your presentation – enough for stakeholders to understand the intent without getting bogged down in the detail.
This is where we transition from high-level story concept to valuable presentation visuals. We’ll start applying the content to the approved structure, and using good old visual thinking, we’ll sketch out layouts and imagery that brings your story to life.
This phase of the process is as much about exciting you as it is agreeing on the overall design direction of the new presentation (while complying with your brand guidelines and other materials, obvs).
ONBOARDING & ROLLOUT
A newly optimised story can feel very different for presenters. Our onboarding service, Eyeful+, ensures that all presenters fully embrace their new presentation.
We know that real value is delivered when presenters are comfortable, confident and excited to present your unique story.
A presentation project doesn’t end when we hand over the slides. Equally, your story needs to live on long after you’ve delivered it to your audience. With more ‘hidden stakeholders’ than ever, presenters need a ‘Sustain’ strategy to drive that all-important call to action.
We’ll share plenty of proven ways to repurpose your story to keep the conversation flowing.
