Helping Ipswich Town FC create a compelling pitch deck to showcase their Premier League ambitions and score with investors.
The Challenge
Ipswich Town were looking to secure investment into the club that would help them realise their ambitions of competing in the top-flight of the English football leagues.
The pitch presentation needed to strike the right balance of being a good reflection of the club’s brand, ethos and on-the-pitch style of play, whilst also prompting a two way conversation with potential investors and future stakeholders. It needed to include a strong structure and flow that would allow the presenter to cover a range of topics; from the history and heritage of the club and town, to future ambitions and ROI opportunities.
The Solution
Following a collaborative discovery session and review of existing club literature, Eyeful’s content team built out a suggested story structure that would form the main ‘building blocks’ of the new presentation and call out the key messages that would need to land at each stage of the conversation.
Alongside this, Eyeful’s creative team developed a number of initial design concepts to help demonstrate how the new presentation could be visualised and brought to life – all in keeping with the clubs existing brand and visual identity.
Following Ipswich Town’s approval of the story structure and creative concepts, the Eyeful team set about developing a full first draft of the investor presentation – supporting the story structure and key messages with compelling content and impactful visuals to help bring the new story to life and ensure it resonated with the intended audience.
The Eyeful team’s love of football, combined with their communication acumen meant that Ipswich Town were now armed with a compelling narrative and an impactful presentation that would lay the foundations for conversations with potential investors across the globe.
The Outcome
The result? Ipswich Town Football Club secured significant investment from US private equity firm Bright Path Sports Partners.
After securing back-to-back promotions, this investment help to set the club up to compete in the English Premier League. Whilst we can’t take any credit for their performances on the pitch, we’re thrilled to have been able to play our part in helping them to secure investment into their future.
